Four thousand years after society collapses, the last of civilization is centered in a post-apocalyptic Asia. The Great Nine nations govern: the Varanus of the Iron Coast, the Aquilas of Ba’cyn, the Ursus of Sylbeorn, the Pantheras of Ardera, the Orcinus of the Iyistar Islands, the Mustels of Kuthys, the Equus of Veslos, the Lupus of Jalin, and the Vulpes of Ceolar. The leaders of each nation are called the Bakarrum, men and women who are stronger, smarter, and possess powers unlike the rest of the human population. Their sole purpose is to protect their people and nations, and for four thousand years, they did just that. But power does not come without greed. When the Ursus decide they want more, the Ianvo Georliam invades the other nations and slaughters the Bakarrum. With the other leaders gone, Georliam takes over the continent and calls the singular nation URSA. There’s one thing that Georliam didn’t take into account: the children of the Bakarrum he slaughtered. Among them is eighteen-year-old Pacie, the heiress of the Pantheras, and her five siblings, believed to have been killed with their mother during the Invasion. Young Pacie, having grown up sheltered from her true identity by her adopted father, Orus, soon learns that, along with an entire nation, she has also inherited a legion of powers that no Bakarrum has ever seen before. With the help of friends and allies, Pacie and the other Bakarrum lead their nations back towards the balance that once was. Amidst the plans to fight back, the young rulers must learn what it means to lead, love, and sacrifice. Peak of the Panthers is a fantasy dystopian epic, exploring what it means to be a leader and what it means to be family. It is the start of Protectors of the Earth, a trilogy of trilogies. Two more novels will follow to conclude the epic War of the Bakarrum, and then two more trilogies will follow, containing the same characters but adding new conflicts and adversaries.

If there is one thing about human beings that you can count upon, it is our tendency to make a bad situation worse.
Owners and builders take shortcuts when constructing a building, and it collapses, killing those inside. Operators take bribes to load more passengers on a ferry than it can hold, and it capsizes, with the death toll in the thousands. Nightclub owners fail to follow basic fire safety guidelines, and hundreds burn to death. Nuclear and chemical plant operators fail to follow basic operating procedures, causing huge areas to be contaminated and poisoning thousands. Storage tanks are not engineered properly; hot-shot pilots fly too low; crowds are incited to riot and stampede; and tons of munitions are stored in heavily populated areas. And then when disaster strikes . . . other people pay the price for their folly.
Relive 50 of history’s great disasters made worse by human greed, ignorance, emotion, and lack of common sense, including the Great Molasses Flood, the Beer and Pretzel Stampede, a cyclone that gave birth to a new nation, and an earthquake that led to genocide.
Special Agent Shawn Perry of the FBI is called to Philadelphia to help with a bank robbery case. He quickly realizes there are some unusual circumstances surrounding the robbery, and begins to uncover evidence of murder conspiracies, genocide, and people with unbelievable abilities. Trusted colleagues soon come forward to admit secret connections to the main suspect, Hara, a teenage girl. As Perry uncovers more and more seemingly impossible secrets, he realizes he has walked into a battle between two mysterious societies which have been at war for decades. His investigation eventually uncovers a decades-long secret that will threaten the lives of everyone around him, and force Perry to see the world in a different light. As the clock ticks down to zero, he comes to understand that guilt and innocence, and right and wrong, are not always as clear as black and white.

Now, further attempts at genetic engineering have created a new virus, the Caiten Strain, which targets those with A negative blood. As more and more people are infected in a laboratory experiment gone out of control, Austin Rockwell and Miriam Lobner attempt to flee the experimentation and start a new life together. They both learn they must make personal sacrifices for a cause greater than themselves: to protect their friends and family, and to make the world safer and more peaceful for everyone.
A Negative continues the intriguing storyline introduced in Cassandra Lynn King’s novel Parallels and its sequel, O Negative.
Coming Soon . . . part 4 of the Parallels series: 2048 A.D.
Review:
A Negative received the following review from a judge in the Writer’s Digest 23rd Annual Self-Published Book Awards: “A Negative is clearly a well-cared-for book. The cover is phenomenal--it is professional, relevant to the story, and had I seen any part of it in a store, I’d be curious enough to pick it up. The interior text was clear, very well proofread and copyedited, and it was easy to see that King put a tremendous amount of time putting together as complete a final product as possible. These details carry a lot of weight here, and immediately place the book above many other submissions. King did a phenomenal job bringing her readers up to speed with the plot to the story—within a matter of pages I felt caught up (but not bogged down in summary) even though there are two entire books preceding A Negative in the series.”

Review:
O Negative has received a 5-Star rating (5 out of 5) from a judge in the Writer’s Digest 21st Annual Self-Published Book Awards! Here are the judge's comments: “O NEGATIVE by Cassandra Lynn King is an excellent, fresh, bold story that fans of science fiction won't be able to put down! The cover is excellent. I like how the red contrasts against the white and forms the letter O. At first I thought I was looking at wine but then I saw the test tube. Very creative. The back cover copy does a wonderful job of explaining the story and I believe that copy will make people want to read the book. Inside, the font is a joy to read. The author photo and bio are lovely. Normally I don't like a table of contents for novels since they are meant to be read straight through rather than skipping around. However, with this novel, the chapter titles are compelling and add interest. Science fiction is not an easy genre, in my opinion. So many plots have been done and done and done again that it's especially challenging to be fresh. However, though some of the plot elements are familiar, the story is original and seems new. Yet the premise is plausible and immediately understandable. Kudos. Also, the writing is engaging. Immediately I wanted to find out what would be happening. I will admit, my mother is O Negative so perhaps this one hit just a little too close to home for me! But then, a story that doesn't hit readers close to the heart is a story that won't be read. All in all, this is a book I would recommend!”

The Hovel on Reflection Lake is about life in Wisconsin as seen through the eyes of Kim Watters, an idealistic young woman who relocates to the north woods in order to pursue the art of wooden boat-building after walking away from her fast-paced computer-driven life. She takes refuge in an ancient, ramshackle manor which her friends soon nickname The Hovel, where she will attempt to reconnect with nature, family and friends.
Only time will tell if Kim has enough perseverance, humor and iodine to overcome the many trials and tribulations of this beautiful, yet at times harsh, environment. Though friends and family are more than willing to offer their support during these challenging times, nightfall quickly disperses any attempts at bravado, and generally finds Kim as abandoned as the eerie Hovel itself.
